Meet Katie. The TV host, cookbook author and culinary enthusiast who embodies laid-back charm with a dash of Southern hospitality in everything she does. From her effortless, why-didn’t-I-think-of-that weeknight dinners to her Instagram-worthy desserts (if you've seen her Cinnamon Bagel Bake or her Peach Crisp, you know), Katie makes it all seem approachable and fun. Whether she’s co-hosting The Kitchen on Food Network or chatting on her new podcast All on the Table, Katie invites us all to join her at the table—where great food and even better stories are always served. Who are you?


I'm Katie Lee Biegel, Iris's mom, Ryan's wife, dog mom to Gus. I love to cook, and feel very lucky that my passion is also my profession. I co-host The Kitchen on Food Network + I Just launched my podcast All on the Table.

What’s on your mind?


Should I make tacos for dinner? Also, considering making homemade mac + cheese. I really want to make a loaf of pumpkin bread. And some egg salad to keep in the fridge.

Where are you right now?

I'm between acts of filming The Kitchen, so I'm sitting in my dressing room.

Who are your heroes?


My mom + my grandma. I had two incredible women for my role models while I was growing up + they made me feel like I was capable of anything. My grandma was the greatest cook that ever lived in my opinion + I do what I do bc of her. I talk to my mom everyday + all I want is for my daughter to feel as loved as she made me feel as a child.

Why do you do what you do?

I grew up in a family that truly loved food + cooking. We were talking about our next meal while we were eating. My grandpa loved to eat + my grandma made such incredible home-cooked "country" meals. Chicken + dumplings, baked steak + gravy, mashed potatoes, biscuits, cornbread, greens, beans, etc.

What is your favorite thing to drink?


I'm the co-founder of Kind of Wild Wines + I truly love our wines. We produce organic, zero sugar wines that are free from harmful additives + preservatives. We just launched our Pinot Noir from California + I am OBSESSED! It's the perfect fall wine + I can have a glass (or 2) without a headache the next day.

What is your favorite thing to eat?

Oooohhh...how do I choose?! I love carbs, croissants, baguettes, cornetti (Sant Ambroeus has my fave), bagels, PASTA PASTA PASTA and we get pizza every Friday (very into Mama's Too right now). And ice cream!!!

When are you most happy?

I'm most happy with my family. On weekends, we snuggle in bed + watch cartoons. My daughter is 4 + she is the light on our lives. We also love to spend time at the beach together...I'm always happiest when the sun is shining + my toes are in the sand.
