Their Playa Access is the perfect accompaniment to nod to sunny day perfection—cucumber, lime and tequila, shaken and served UP, if you please. The final seaside touch? A lick of salt on the rim. For award winning in-house bar manager Josh Curtis, of the Carbon Beach Club at the Malibu Beach Inn, the Playa Access hits all the right notes and is the perfect way to get the weekend started. ”My signature drink is definitely the Playa Access, which is a cucumber margarita essentially. It’s bright, it’s cheerful, it’s sunny, its refreshing; you get a little bit of that salt and the cucumber cools the whole thing off. The way I’d like people to feel when they drink the Playa is ‘I’m in vacation’, you know? It’s a departure and I don’t have to worry about anything else right now-I can just enjoy this.” Cheers to that!
Serves 1
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Casamigos Blanco
¾ oz fresh squeezed lime juice
¾ oz simple syrup
¾ oz fresh squeezed cucumbers
METHOD
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake x 5. Hawthorne Strain UP the now mixed ingredients into a chilled coupe glass; garnish with a skewered cucumber wheel and a kiss-of-salt on the outer ridge of the glass rim.
