The New York-based Elle Decor A-List and AD 100 interior designer has created stunning homes worldwide with her signature warm and inviting mix of textiles, color and pattern—all punctuated with bespoke menswear-inspired details. You also might have spotted the industry icon on Architectural Digest’s popular Youtube series Space Savers, and chances are you’ve swooned over her line of stunning architecturally-inspired porcelain tableware. Who are you?
Joy Moyler, cat Mom, Wife, Sister. Oh! other days I am an interior designer, contributing Design Editor for Veranda Magazine and Design Columnist for Homes & Gardens, UK.
I have a fondness for cooking and painting, and I am known to break out in a dance fit whenever the beat hits!
What’s on your mind?
The next Presidential election! There is so much to be done to avoid a convicted felon from being elected President again. We MUST fight for the survival of Democracy!
Where are you right now?
You can always find me near the seaside. I break for any moment to stop and gaze at the water.
Who are your heroes?
My parents number one!!! Without their teachings, love and guidance I would have been a cooked goose years ago!
Adding Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela and all those fighting for justice and the betterment of democracy, education and safety.
Why do you do what you do?
Interior design by trade. I am my clients ‘Olivia Pope’. I design their lives and put fires out so they can sleep well at night. Someone should!
What is your favorite thing to drink?
Summer finds me with a Spicy Margarita! Colder months call for a smoldering Dark & Stormy.
What is your favorite thing to eat?
Savory - I love smothered oxtails in rich brown gravy, any crispy skinned roast chicken with rice.
Sweet - Anything made with lemons or apple and cinnamon. And I brake for a really, really good key lime pie!
When are you most happy?
I am happiest when I am near the water, just chilling, wrapped in a blanket with my husband and kitties nestled on my lap. With a grown folks elixir in my hand.

Just keep going! Find beauty in the simple things. Don’t go for the flash! Go for a full life!
